Bio
Tracy Dougall is a Scottish Contemporary artist who likes to explore the theme connection. She does this using the processes of painting, printmaking and mixed media. The theme connection relates to the natural world around us and the changing landscape. Particular interests are the sea and the woodland. Places of peace, that are good for the soul, wellbeing and connectivity with others. Portraits are another expression of this theme, and these are mainly of family members.
Recent work focusses on the abstract and deeper expressions of connection to our innermost thoughts and feelings. Our life and complicated relationships as we navigate modern societal norms.
Another part of her art practice is skill sharing. She has a passion for using art for the wellbeing of others. This stems from her own experiences as a carer for her own children’s health needs where she used art to manage their health conditions and for the promotion of good health and wellbeing. Witnessing first-hand the benefits that art brought.

She studied HNC in Art & Design at New College Lanarkshire, HND at Forth Valley College and gained a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Art Practices at the University of the Highlands and Islands.

She has recently been accepted as a member of Glasgow society of Women Artists GSWA.

She is a committee member of GOSSIP Art Collective where she collaborates with the other committee members to offer opportunities for members to engage and participate in exhibitions, art events, art workshops and supports new graduates and emerging artists in their practice.
